Deborah-Marie Diamond M.A. - East Coast Swing Dance
Instructor
Deborah-Marie is also a master
teacher of the performing and healing arts, a drummer, and a ballroom dancer in Asheville, North Carolina. East Coast Swing is one of her favorite dances!
Zeki Maviyildiz - East Coast Swing Dance Instructor
Zeki is a renowned ballroom dancer and instructor in Asheville, North Carolina. He is a member of the Duke
University Ballroom Dance Team and is a world famous Turkish Folk Dancer.
Jason Barnes - Swing and Ballroom Dance Instructor
Master instructor, Jason Barnes, has been teaching
dance for over 13 years. Jason's love for dancing started in 1981 with the arrival of MTV. He began learning partner
dancing in early 1993 in San Diego, CA. He made an impact on the competition scene in the summer of 1995 and hasn't
looked back. Jason lives in Asheville, North Carolina but travels extensively through out the United States and
Europe as a teacher, coach, judge, competitor and performer.
His accomplishments include: "Top
Teacher" awards in 2006, 2008, 2009 & 2010 Currently dancing professionally on the West Coast Swing circuit Over 160 dance titles (Including: WCS, Hustle, NC2-Step, Country 2-Step, Ballroom, Latin, Line Dance & more) 6 Time
U.S. Open Classic Division top 10 finalist DVIDA Certified Instructor in Ballroom DanceSport (American Smooth and Rhythm)
Amy Barnes has been dancing up a storm since she took her first free line dance
lesson in country bar. Country dancing lead Amy to the Purdue Ballroom Dance Team where she competed on the college
circuit in American Style Smooth and Rhythm Dances. After graduation, Amy returned to competitive dancing and joined
the FineLiners line dance team, the IUPUI Swing Cats and started entering in West Coast Swing Jack and Jill's.
Today, Amy lives and teaches American Style Ballroom and Swing Dancing in Asheville,
North Carolina, with her husband, Jason Barnes. Amy also travels with Jason, teaching and competing throughout
the United States.
